Ferrite magnets known also as ceramic magnets, are made of a mixture of non-magnetic iron oxides and barium, strontium or lead according to the chemical formula MO X 6Fe2O3. Their crystal structure is hexagonal. Oxide magnets have a lower remanence and higher coercive force as metal magnets.
Ferrite also known as "hard magnetic material", refers to a material that can maintain a constant magnetic property once it is magnetized. The main component of sintered ferrite permanent magnet is SrO.6Fe2O3, which is divided into isotropic and anisotropic magnets according to the orientation of the magnetic crystal.
Ferrite magnets are manufactured through ceramic technology. They are hard in texture. They are also brittle materials, fragile and not resistant to shock and vibration.
Ferrite magnets ae with high resistivity, high coercivity, good temperature resistance, rich source of raw materials, mature technology, and no oxidation problems. Compared with metal permanent magnets, they have good stability and low price. High cost performance is widely used in small generators, motors, speakers, microwave devices, magnetic sensors and other fields.
